Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, configure, install, and troubleshoot critical banking network infrastructure in Singapore.

The role requires hands-on Cisco routing and switching, firewall management, and strong TCP/IP fundamentals. You will monitor performance, document configurations, and ensure security best practices across all devices and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in network engineering in large enterprises or financial institutions.
• CCNP/CCIE certification preferred.
• Experience with Cisco SDA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless APs.
• Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent outages and optimize efficiency.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices to protect banking data and systems.
• Participate in capacity planning, upgrades, and migrations to support business growth and tech advancements.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of banking systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal users on network-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with networking technologies, industry trends, and security threats.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents outside business hours.
