Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Singapore Branch is seeking an experienced professional to oversee Singapore HR Compliance Operations and provide regional oversight across APAC on HR compliance matters. The role collaborates with HR stakeholders, business partners, control functions and vendors to ensure timely delivery of compliance operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR operations or compliance, preferably with regulated role management.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical reasoning.
• Ability to identify process gaps and drive improvements.
• Experience in large, fast-paced organisations with competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Singapore SFA/FAA and MAS 753 regulated role registrations, changes and cessation.
• Manage Conflict of Interest processes including Outside Employment and Relationship at Work.
• Provide oversight of Fit & Proper processes and background checks.
• Support RCCI communications and coordination of actions.
• Engage with stakeholders to address operational/regulatory queries.
• Maintain HR compliance procedures and support audits.
• Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and employee experience.
