Job summary

Barclays in Singapore seeks an Assistant Vice President to oversee data-led compliance oversight for the Macro business. You will advise on day-to-day activities, assess risks, and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations across APAC.

You will lead complex tasks, coach teams, and collaborate with IOD, Legal, and risk functions to strengthen the control environment and support business growth in the region.

Qualifications

• Essential compliance, legal, regulatory or risk experience in financial services.
• Good understanding of foreign exchange and rates products, markets, and related controls.
• Experience providing real-time or transaction-specific Compliance guidance.
• Knowledge of global and APAC regulatory requirements relevant to Markets.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary Compliance coverage contact for Singapore Macro business, understanding products, clients, controls, and risk.
• Provide practical, timely advice on day-to-day activities, transactions, new initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
• Offer independent risk-based review and feedback focusing on conduct and control effectiveness.
• Support APAC growth initiatives with governance obligations and post-implementation actions.
• Contribute to the APAC Markets BOC Compliance Plan, including training and MI production.
