Job summary

KLA is seeking a Robotics/Autonomous Systems Engineer in Singapore to advance vision-guided robotic platforms. You will translate perception into action, design planning and control pipelines, and collaborate with service teams during PoC phases in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities include safety design, simulation, and documentation of architectures for field deployment, with opportunities to impact manufacturing tooling across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field; 1+ years in robotics or autonomous systems.
• Strong programming in Python and C/C++, with ROS/ROS2.
• Experience integrating computer vision with robotic control.
• Knowledge of motion planning, sensor fusion, state estimation, and real-time control.

Responsibilities

• Implement vision-guided reasoning systems that translate perception into physical actions for robotic platforms.
• Build the decision-making layer that lets robotic systems plan, sequence, and execute maintenance tasks autonomously.
• Integrate computer vision models with robotic control — bridging what the system sees and what it does.
• Work directly with service engineering teams during proof-of-concept phases to understand constraints and validate approaches in the field.
• Design and implement safety constraints and fallback behaviors for autonomous operations involving precision hardware interaction.
• Build simulation and testing frameworks that validate robotic behaviors before field deployment.
• Collaborate with the vision team on model requirements — what the robotics layer needs from perception to act reliably.
• Document system architectures, control logic, and operational procedures for field deployment.
