Job summary

Infinite Orbits Singapore is seeking a hands‑on AI & Robotics Research Engineer to join as one of the first technical hires in Singapore. The role sits at the intersection of AI, computer vision and robotics, and involves turning research into working prototypes for autonomous space systems.

You will train and validate models on synthetic, simulated and real sensor data, including sim-to-real, and work with engineers in Toulouse and Singaporean partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–7 years of experience in applied AI/ML, robotics or computer vision.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with modern deep‑learning frameworks for training, evaluation and deployment.
• Research-to-Engineering mindset; ability to build real systems.
• Autonomy to work in a small, fast‑growing team; excellent English for documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and experiment with AI approaches for perception and autonomous robotic systems.
• Train, evaluate and deploy models using synthetic, simulated and real sensor data (sim-to-real).
• Build prototypes connecting perception models with robotic and autonomous decision‑making.
• Improve model robustness and enable efficient deployment on resource‑constrained compute platforms.
• Collaborate with Infinite Orbits teams internationally and with Singaporean partners to transition research to working systems.
• Prepare, write and review technical documentation and experiment reports.
