Job summary

KLA is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Robotics Engineer in Singapore to design robotic platforms, precision mechanisms and sensor-integrated systems for advanced manufacturing. You will own the complete mechanical development cycle, from requirements definition to prototyping, testing and system integration.

You will conduct structural, thermal and vibration analyses to ensure precision, robustness and reliability, and collaborate with electrical, controls, software, and AI teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including design, materials and tolerancing.
• Hands-on R&D in precision mechanical design, prototyping, assembly and testing.
• Experience with structural, vibration and thermal analyses.
• Experience in robotics, automation equipment or precision machinery is desirable.
• Good understanding of multidisciplinary system development, interfaces and verification planning.
• Passion for technology innovation and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design robotic platforms, precision mechanisms, automation equipment and sensor-integrated systems.
• Own the full mechanical development cycle from requirements to prototyping and testing.
• Perform structural, vibration, and thermal analyses for precision and reliability.
• Define mechanical interfaces among robots, cameras, sensors and process hardware.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, machine vision, AI, optics and systems engineers.
• Support evaluation, qualification and implementation of robotics technologies and suppliers.
• Drive innovative R&D in robotics and scalable platform development.
