You will ensure quality standards, monitor productivity and costs, coordinate with service advisors, customers and suppliers, and manage tools, parts and documentation while upholding safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the automotive workshop and ensure smooth workflow.
• Plan, assign and monitor repair, maintenance, accident repair and servicing jobs.
• Supervise technicians, mechanics, panel beaters, painters and other workshop staff.
• Ensure all jobs are completed according to required quality standards and within the agreed timeline.
• Monitor workshop productivity, manpower allocation and job progress.
• Conduct quality checks before vehicles are released to customers.
• Coordinate with service advisors, customers, suppliers and insurance companies when required.
• Manage workshop equipment, tools, spare parts and consumable materials.
• Ensure proper documentation of repair jobs, work orders and vehicle records.
• Handle technical issues and provide guidance to workshop staff.
• Monitor staff performance, attendance and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental and company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety of the workshop.
• Control operating costs and minimise unnecessary material and labour wastage.
• Assist management in improving workshop efficiency, productivity and profitability.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve workshop-related issues when necessary.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
