Job summary

nishio rent all singapore pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Workshop Operations Manager to lead our Singapore workshop. You will oversee daily operations, allocate jobs, plan manpower, and schedule repairs and servicing to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, guiding technical teams, maintaining records, managing inventory, and controlling costs. A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and hands-on diesel engine repair experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma graduates from Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years experiences in handling diesel engine repair and maintenance at site.
• Good communication skills for dealing with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Singapore Class 3 driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily workshop operations, including job allocation, manpower planning, and scheduling.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of repairs and servicing tasks.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.
• Recommend and implement appropriate corrective measures for mechanical or operational issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of all repair and servicing work, including detailed records of parts used and labor performed.
• Maintain accurate workshop records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Supervise, train, and mentor workshop staff to improve skills and performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training programs where necessary.
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of necessary materials.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of tools and workshop equipment.
• Monitor workshop expenses and control operational costs.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower and resources.
