Job summary

Activate, a leading technology consultancy headquartered in Singapore, is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to own the testing strategy for its cloud-based digital platform with an automation-first approach within an Agile delivery environment.

You will design test plans, build and maintain automated regression suites using Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, perform API testing, and support UAT and release readiness in a fixed-term 1-year contract.

Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of QA experience with hands-on automation testing.
• Experience designing end-to-end QA automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
• Strong API testing experience with Postman, Newman, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Ability to design functional, regression, integration and negative test cases.
• Ability to perform basic SQL queries for test data validation.

Responsibilities

• Own the testing strategy and automation for the cloud-based platform.
• Develop and maintain automated regression test suites for critical user journeys.
• Prepare UAT scenarios and support business users during UAT.
• Conduct regression, smoke testing and release validation before deployment.
