Job summary

Activate, a Singapore-headquartered technology consultancy, seeks a Software Quality Engineer to join the Co-Development unit for a 1-year fixed-term engagement in Singapore Government Agencies. Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of test automation strategies and risk-based testing.
• Experience designing and executing test cases, plans, and suites.
• Hands-on testing for web, mobile, and API services.
• Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-platform, responsive UI testing.
• Experience with CI/CD integrations (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Ability to design maintainable, scalable test automation suites.
• Understanding of agile testing methodologies (TDD, BDD).
• Experience with containerized testing in Docker/Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure software reliability, test automation, and continuous quality improvement across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define clear acceptance criteria.
• Ensure automated test coverage and prevent production bugs.
• Analyze complex systems to design risk-based test strategies.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Design and execute comprehensive test suites: functional, regression, exploratory, performance.
• Lead UAT coordination with stakeholders to meet business requirements.
• Manage defect lifecycle and test artifacts for reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement in agile testing practices and tools.
• Optionally support Application Performance or Security testing beyond functionality.
