Job summary

OPTIMUM SOLUTIONS (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an automation and observability engineer to design, implement and maintain automation scripts, dashboards and monitoring utilities in a fast-paced environment.

You will translate operational needs into scalable automation, configure enterprise monitoring platforms, and tune alerts to reduce noise while ensuring system health and reliability across Linux/Windows environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in automation, monitoring, observability, IT operations or a related technical role.
• Hands-on scripting experience in Python, PowerShell or Shell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as BMC Helix, Remedy, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace or Splunk.
• Good knowledge of Linux/Windows, infrastructure monitoring, dashboards, alerts, logs and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
• Exposure to Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, APIs, Version Control or AIOps will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain automation scripts, workflows, dashboards and operational utilities.
• Translate operational requirements into automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Configure and maintain enterprise monitoring and observability platforms across infrastructure and applications.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, thresholds, reports and service views; perform alert tuning and noise reduction.
• Monitor system health, performance and capacity, and troubleshoot alerts, incidents, failed jobs and integrations.
• Support incident, problem and change activities, including validation and post-change monitoring.
• Support system onboarding, monitoring integrations, data validation and alert routing.
