Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Maintenance Engineer to sustain and improve production machinery and automation systems. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and supporting upgrades within a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will analyze breakdowns, coordinate internal and external teams, and maintain thorough equipment documentation to drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation, or related Engineering disciplines.
• 2–5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in PLC, electrical controls, sensors, motors, inverters/servo drives, and automation equipment.
• Experience with PLC programming and systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Allen-Bradley is an advantage.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, industrial automation, and continuous improvement; good Microsoft Office skills.
• Good interpersonal skill, self-motivated individual, and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery and automation systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, HMIs, and control systems.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and automation upgrades for process in the manufacturing.
• Analyze breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors for maintenance and repairs, as well as within internal process team
• Maintain maintenance records, spare parts, and equipment documentation.
• Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
