Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a hands-on Automation Engineer to support automation, fabrication, and production activities.

You will perform machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operations. Read drawings and electrical schematics, coordinate with production teams, and drive process improvements to increase uptime and efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's in Automation Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in automation, fabrication, machine assembly and production processes.
• Certifications or training in PLC, automation systems or industrial maintenance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support automation, fabrication, and production-related activities within manufacturing operations.
• Perform hands-on machine assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance works
• Support fabrication activities including machine modification, mechanical fitting, and production equipment setup
• Troubleshoot automation, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth machine operation and production continuity
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize equipment reliability and performance
• Assist in process improvement and automation enhancement projects to increase productivity
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and electrical schematics for machine setup and troubleshooting
• Support testing, calibration, and validation of automation systems and production equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and production requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Additional certifications or training in PLC, automation systems, industrial maintenance, or fabrication are an added advantage
