SOFTENGER (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD.

invites an experienced automation engineer to design, develop, and commission Rockwell PLC systems in GMP-regulated pharma environments, aligning with ISA-88 batch standards. You will collaborate with operations, process, and vendors to build robust control solutions, provide hands-on troubleshooting for Rockwell PLCs and FactoryTalk HMIs, and support NC/CAPA, validation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of automation experience, preferably in pharma/biopharma.
• Strong Rockwell PLC systems experience.
• Knowledge of pharma processes, automation hardware, and networking.
• Familiar with SDLC, GMP, and pharma quality management.
• Excellent teamwork and communication; able to work onsite or remotely.

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and commission Rockwell (and Siemens, where applicable) PLC systems in GMP-regulated environments.
• Develop automation solutions aligned with ISA-88 (S88) batch standards.
• Collaborate with teams to design hardware, write control strategies, and build Rockwell library elements.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for Rockwell PLCs, HMIs (FactoryTalk), and networked control systems.
• Support non-conformance (NC), CAPA, system validation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including operations, process, equipment vendors, and tech providers.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience in automation roles, ideally within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries.
• Strong experience with Rockwell PLC systems
• Solid understanding of pharma processes, automation hardware, and networking.
• Familiarity with SDLC, GMP, and pharma quality management.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and ability to work onsite or remotely.
