Job summary

PERSOL Singapore seeks an automation engineer to develop software for automation equipment, including PLC programming and PC-based applications, and to design electrical hardware for control systems and power circuits.

The role will involve debugging, project management, and coordinating with vendors to drive improvements in factory automation while ensuring compliance with codes, QA policies, performance standards, and ISO processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Control Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in PLC programming and high-level programming languages like C/C++, VB, or Python.
• Familiar with NC/ Motion control systems including stepper and servo motors.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for automation equipment, including PLC programming and PC-based applications.
• Design electrical hardware for control systems, power circuits, and specialized devices.
• Conduct equipment debugging and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage projects, including scheduling, budget control, and coordination with vendors.
• Support and oversee improvements in factory automation processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, quality assurance policies, performance standards, and maintain ISO processes.
