Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking an Automation Engineer in Singapore to maintain and upgrade plant automation systems. You will work with PLC/SCADA/HMI networks, review drawings, and support upgrades across production lines.

The role requires 3–4 years in industrial automation, strong Siemens PLC experience, and knowledge of industrial communications. Office hours may apply with on-site work at our Singapore facility.

Qualifications

• Must have degree or advanced diploma in electrical, mechatronics, automation, instrumentation or related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLC and PLC-based control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant automation systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, VSD/VFD, DCS and BMS.
• Diagnose control system issues involving programming, instrumentation, hardware and industrial communication networks.
• Perform regular backups and maintain proper version control for PLC, HMI and controller programs.
• Support automation system upgrades, equipment commissioning and implementation of new production machinery.
• Review P&IDs, control specifications and other relevant automation engineering documents.
• Troubleshoot industrial communication systems such as Ethernet, PROFIBUS and MODBUS.
• Support system integration between PLC, SCADA, DCS, BMS and field instruments.
• Coordinate with Siemens, system integrators, equipment vendors and contractors for automation-related projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, machine performance and process efficiency.
• Maintain automation drawings, system records, SOPs and technical documentation.
• Ensure all automation works are carried out in accordance with safe work procedures.
• Provide standby or emergency automation support when required for plant operations.

Education

Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Instrumentation, Computing or related discipline
