Job summary

JDA WMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Automation Design Engineer to lead design of automation solutions for manufacturing clients, from concept to commissioning.

You will design systems and fixtures using CAD, prepare documentation, and support on-site commissioning and training. Candidates should have a mechanical engineering degree and hands-on experience with motors, motion control, robotics, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical design skills, ideally with full machine design experience (automation systems, robotics, fixtures, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with motors, motion control, robotics, and automated production lines.

Responsibilities

• Design automation solutions and develop technical/commercial proposals, including system layouts and cost estimates.
• Own the end-to-end technical process from concept design to commissioning and post-sales support.
• Design automated systems and custom mechanical fixtures using CAD software.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (drawings, manuals, BOMs, service records).
• Perform hands-on integration, including electrical wiring, control panel checks, and robot programming.
• Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to meet performance specifications.
• Provide on-site technical support during commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and customer training.
