Job summary

HPS PARTNERS PTE. LTD. seeks an Application Innovation Engineer in Singapore to bridge emerging technologies with automated production systems.

You will lead the design, programming, and commissioning of control systems, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions for advanced manufacturing projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver automation projects, design control architectures, program PLCs/HMIs, and integrate robotics and vision systems to optimize line

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, automation, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• Practical PLC/HMI programming and motion control experience.
• Familiar with industrial communication protocols and equipment commissioning.
• Experience with robotics or Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus.
• Programming exposure: Python, C#, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver automation projects.
• Design machine control architectures, panels, and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent CAD software.
• Program, test, and validate PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems following IEC 61131-3 standards.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, laser units, sensors, and third-party equipment into automated production lines.
• Implement compliant machine safety architectures (safety PLCs, interlocks, E-stops) according to ISO/IEC standards.
• Configure industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA) and support Industry 4.0 data collection.
• Lead FAT/SAT validation, equipment commissioning, and root cause analysis to optimize reliability and OEE.
• Maintain documentation (BOM, FDS, I/O lists) and update SOPs/PM checklists.
• Ensure projects comply with internal engineering standards, WSH regulations, and GMP guidelines.

• Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or Industry 4.0 technologies is an advantage.
• Programming exposure (Python, C#, C++) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
