Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for system integration and machine assembly, leveraging AI and robotics to enhance productivity and reduce errors. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, AI, Mechatronics, Mechanical or related field
• Experience in automation engineering with focus on AI and robotics preferred
• Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, IoT etc)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python)
• Proven track record in designing and deploying robotic systems and AI-driven inspection tools is preferred
• Knowledge of AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) including machine learning algorithms and robotic platforms is preferred
