Job summary

The Ascott Limited in Singapore is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to perform daily cleaning and uphold the high standards of our residents' homes, reporting to the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor.

You will clean and inspect apartments, check inventories with residents, ensure amenities and literature are in place, and report issues to supervisors or engineers. Training outsourced attendants and supervising their performance are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping.
• At least a higher secondary education.
• Knowledge of basic conversational English.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents.
• Service-oriented and willing to perform shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect allocated apartments per supervisor.
• Check inventories with residents on check-in/out.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper amenities per procedures.
• Report losses or damages to supervisor or engineering.
• Assist in training outsourced room attendants.
• Oversee performance of outsourced attendants.
• Replenish supplies and ensure equipment works.
• Attend to residents' requests and linen inventory.
• Update apartment status and linen issuance.
• Ensure laundry contractor meets standards and deadlines.
• Sort and count linen and soiled articles.
• Examine laundered items for cleanliness and serviceability.
• Perform related tasks as assigned.

Attendant, Housekeeping

You will perform daily cleaning and oversee the cleanliness of our residents' homes in accordance with our established procedures and guidelines. You will report directly to the Housekeeping Manager / Housekeeping Supervisor.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Clean and inspect an allocated number of apartments set by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Check through the apartment's inventories with residents upon check-in and check-out
• Ensure that cleanliness, proper amenities and literature placement are met according to working procedures and standards
• Report any loss, damage to linen, furniture, fixtures and equipment, and maintenance defects to the Housekeeping Supervisor or the Engineering Department
• Assist to train outsourced room attendants in housekeeping procedures and standards
• Oversee the performance of your assigned outsourced room attendants
• Provide support in daily operations by:
• Replenishing supplies (Eg; drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom items)
• Ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
• Attending to residents’ requests
• Assist in monthly linen inventory in your assigned area
• Update status of apartments
• Manage the storing and issuance of linen and uniform
• Ensure that the laundry contractor meets cleanliness standards and deadlines
• Sort, count and record the number of linen and soiled articles
• Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability
• Perform related tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

You have:
