Job summary

The Standard, Singapore is seeking a reliable housekeeping attendant to clean and service guest rooms to the hotel’s standards in a timely and meticulous manner. You will ensure guest privacy is maintained and assist guests with requests while adhering to safety policies.

Experience is not mandatory, but a basic knowledge of housekeeping and a strong eye for detail will help you thrive in a diverse team environment. This role is based on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail, especially cleanliness and room presentation.
• Able to communicate in basic English.
• Able to work independently and reliably.
• Good team player with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• No prior experience required; basic housekeeping knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to standards.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned promptly and neatly.
• Anticipate guest needs and prioritize requests.
• Maintain clean workstations, trolleys, and back-of-house areas.
• Protect guest privacy and security by following policy.
• Follow safety and hotel property care procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms in accordance with established standards and procedures.

• Guestrooms are cleaned at timely manner adhering to standards and procedures.

• Required for eye for details in rooms cleaning and meticulously arranging guest items.

• Cleaning of guestroom includes and limited to making up the bed, cleaning bathroom, dusting, wiping and vacuuming.

• Anticipate guest needs and prioritise any guest request at all time.

• Always maintain clean and neat workstations, trollies and back of the house areas.

• Always adhere to guest privacy and do not reveal guest details to any parties.

• Follow security policy and procedures for the department eg: key control, lost & found reporting.

• Always adhere to work safety.

• Taken good care of hotel's properties eg: usage of electrical appliances, cleaning equipments.

• Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Meet the basic requirement scope of work

• Experience is not necessary but is an advantage if possess some basic housekeeping knowledge

• Able to communicate in basic English

• Attention to detail especially cleanliness, room presentation

• Able to work independently, reliable, self-motivated

• A good team player who understands and able to work with colleagues from other cultural background.
