Qualifications

• Requires Singapore PE Board recognised degree and a MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering.
• High to advanced proficiency in 2D/3D geotechnical analyses using PLAXIS, Slope/W, and related tools.
• Experience in underground construction works is preferred.

As Associate / Senior Engineer, you will join the geotechnical and tunnelling design team as a leading member applying sound engineering to design and deliver a broad spectrum of geotechnical and tunnelling solutions including deep excavations, bored and mined tunnelling, foundations, slope engineering, and ground improvement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supported by your manager, you will play a leading role in applying sound engineering principles and prevailing standards to design deep excavation and earth retaining systems, bored and mined tunnels, foundations, and geotechnical engineering works required for underground structures, such as MRT stations and tunnels, all in close collaboration with our civil and structural engineering colleagues.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• • Guide and supervise junior team members to deliver quality work on time.
• • Develop and drive concept designs and associated construction sequences for geotechnical and tunnelling works.
• • Carry out detailed geotechnical analyses and design of underground works and foundations.
• • Prepare detailed design calculations and reports of high quality for client and authority submissions.
• • Prepare / deliver concise and accurate technical communications including informative presentations.
• • Collaborate with BIM/CAD professionals to prepare accurate models/drawings that conform to standards.
• • Communicate effectively with internal and external project team members to deliver coordinated designs.

Additional duties may also include:

• • Planning, data collection and analysis of geotechnical investigations to produce Geotechnical Interpretative and/or Baseline Reports.
• • Point-of-contact with client representatives, and authority officials to obtain design clearances.
• • Project management of a small project or portion of a larger project.
• • Delivery of tender submissions and presentations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• • Singapore PE Board recognised degree.
• • M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Civil Engineering.
• • High to advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D geotechnical-structural analysis software such as PLAXIS, Slide2, Slope/W, UDEC, SWedge, UnWedge, STAAD.Pro or similar programs.
• • Experience in underground construction works – relevant site and design office experience will be a plus.
