Job summary

t.y.lin international pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer with 5+ years of design experience to lead the preparation of design reports, calculations and drawings for major projects.

You will coordinate with other disciplines, prepare submissions to statutory authorities, contribute to tender documentation, and mentor juniors. You will also lead design management and project control on major projects, while applying geotechnical expertise for earth retaining and

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Experience in engineering design consulting on building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• A minimum of 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Have good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Working experience in engineering design consulting practice on building, geotechnical,infrastructure, rail or road projects (underground/basement/elevatedstructures, tunnel structures and MRT station structures)
• Good project management skills and strong analytical skills
• Able to work under pressure with good time management skills

Geotechnical:

• Experienced in the design and design management of major earth retaining and stabilizing structures, deep foundations, reclamations, ground improvements, slope stabilities.
• Familiar with the preparation of Geotechnical Interpretative Reports.
• Familiar with the geotechnical impact assessment of structures and instrumentations.
• Familiar with the application of geotechnical FEM software.
