Job summary

Singtel is seeking a dedicated Support Engineer to safeguard the Singtel TV broadcast systems across Singtel TV, CAST, Singtel Business TV, and cross‑carriage services. You will monitor three broadcast data centres onsite and remotely, ensure service availability, and drive proactive maintenance.

You'll work with project and operations teams, perform system administration tasks, document incidents and reports, and uphold cybersecurity standards while delivering reliable, high‑quality broadcast

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in the broadcasting/media industry, preferably in a Support Engineer or similar technical role; fresh graduates with relevant qualifications welcome.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineer for Singtel TV broadcast systems for Singtel TV, CAST, Singtel Business TV, and cross–carriage services.
• Supports three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely.
• Service and system performance monitoring – proactive and predictive.
• Service recovery of live services – headend, ingest and playout.
• Event management – Major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast event).
• Ops excellence – IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance
• Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre and IP delivery.
• Work closely with the project and operations teams; and external parties in problem troubleshooting and resolution.
• Perform system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation and inventory.
• Create and updates technical reports and system documents.
• Document & Follow-up Maintenance schedule / Incident reporting promptly
• Adhere to the organisation’s cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices in daily operations.

Skills For Success

• Diploma in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in the broadcasting/media industry, preferably in a Support Engineer or similar technical role preferred but fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in broad-cast/media technology are welcome to apply.
• Experience in networking eg: CCNA Certification will be advantageous
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work positively under pressure and has good problem-solving skills
• Flexible with work time (To work on 12-hour shift, weekends and public holidays).
• Ability to do cabling work such as laying of cabling, fabrication of video/network cables will be advantageous.
