Job summary

Singtel is seeking a dedicated Support Engineer to maintain Singtel TV broadcast systems across headend, ingest and playout. You will monitor performance, respond to incidents, and assist with live event delivery via satellite, fibre and IP networks.

The role requires a Diploma in Electronics or Computer Engineering, about 2 years in broadcasting or related tech, and flexibility for 12-hour shifts including weekends and public holidays. CCNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in electronics or computer engineering.
• 2 years of experience in broadcasting/media, or fresh graduates with relevant qualifications welcome.
• Networking experience; CCNA certification advantageous.
• Able to work independently and with a team.
• Calm under pressure with good problem-solving skills.
• Flexible with work hours; 12-hour shifts, weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Singtel TV broadcast systems, including headend, ingest and playout.
• Monitor service and system performance; proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
• Handle live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre and IP delivery.
• Coordinate with project and operations teams for troubleshooting and resolution.
• Perform system administration tasks: patching, hardening, inventory updates.
• Document maintenance schedules and incident reports; adhere to cybersecurity policies.

How You will Make An Impact:

• Support Engineer for the Singtel TV broadcast systems for Singtel TV, CAST, Singtel Business TV, and cross - carriage services.
• Supports three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely.
• Service and system performance monitoring - proactive and predictive.
• Service recovery of live services - headend, ingest and playout.
• Event management - Major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast event).
• Ops excellence - IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance
• Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre and IP delivery.
• Work closely with the project and operations teams; and external parties in problem troubleshooting and resolution.
• Perform system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation and inventory.
• Create and updates technical reports and system documents.
• Document & Follow-up Maintenance schedule / Incident reporting promptly
• Adhere to the organisation’s cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices in daily operations.
• Maintain good cybersecurity awareness and comply with established security procedures, including access control, password management, data protection, and incident reporting.
• To always work safely, complying with Singtel workplace safety and health policies

Skills for Success:

• Diploma in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 2 years of experience in the broadcasting/media industry, preferably in a Support Engineer or similar technical role preferred but fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in broad-cast/media technology are welcome to apply.
• Experience in networking eg: CCNA Certification will be advantageous
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work positively under pressure and has good problem-solving skills
• Flexible with work time (To work on 12-hour shift, weekends and public holidays).
• Ability to do cabling work such as laying of cabling, fabrication of video/network cables will be advantageous.
