CGS International Securities Pte. Ltd. is seeking a commercially driven Manager/Associate Director, Private Equity Fund to join the Asset Management team.

You will originate, evaluate, execute and manage private equity investments across Southeast Asia, leading transactions and collaborating with portfolio company management to drive value creation. The role requires strong financial acumen, investment judgment, and stakeholder management in a dynamic investment environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
• MBA, CFA, or other professional investment qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or asset management.
• Track record in evaluating, executing, and managing investment transactions.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities across Southeast Asia.
• Lead transaction execution including valuation, modelling, structuring, and closing.
• Prepare investment papers for Investment Committee review.
• Conduct detailed due diligence on prospective investments.

Job Simmary

We are seeking a commercially driven Manager/Associate Director, Private Equity Fund to join our Asset Management team. The incumbent will play a key role in originating, evaluating, executing, and managing private equity investments across Southeast Asia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading investment transactions, conducting comprehensive due diligence, collaborating with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation, and supporting successful exit strategies. Corporate title, grade and the level of deal leadership will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. This role requires strong financial acumen, investment judgment, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic investment environment.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Investment Origination and Execution

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities across selected sectors and markets within Southeast Asia.
• Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, corporate advisors, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and strategic partners to generate proprietary deal flow.
• Lead transaction execution, including valuation analysis, financial modelling, deal structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closing.
• Prepare investment papers and recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee.

Due Diligence and Investment Analysis

• Conduct detailed financial, commercial, operational, and strategic due diligence on prospective investments.
• Develop financial models and investment valuation analyses to assess potential returns, risks, and value creation opportunities.
• Evaluate industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory considerations, and key investment risks.
• Coordinate and manage external advisors, including legal, financial, tax, and technical consultants.

Portfolio Management and Value Creation

• Monitor portfolio company performance against investment objectives and strategic plans.
• Partner with management teams to drive operational improvements, business growth initiatives, and value enhancement opportunities.
• Review financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and key business metrics.
• Support portfolio companies in strategic decision-making, capital allocation, fundraising initiatives, and business expansion plans.

Exit Planning and Investor Reporting

• Develop and execute exit strategies to maximise investment returns, including trade sales, secondary transactions, recapitalisations, and IPOs.
• Support investor communications and reporting activities by providing timely and accurate updates on portfolio and fund performance.
• Prepare presentations and materials for investors, management, and other stakeholders.

Market Intelligence and Stakeholder Management

• Maintain a strong understanding of market developments, investment themes, regulatory changes, and emerging trends across the region.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen the firm's market presence and relationships.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• MBA, CFA, or other professional investment qualifications will be an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, venture capital, or asset management. Candidate will be considered for either Manager or Associate Director level, depending on experience, capabilities, and overall fit for the role.
• Demonstrated track record in evaluating, executing, and managing investment transactions. For Associate Director level, a track record of leading transactions end-to-end is expected.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis capabilities.
• Experience in transaction execution, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in healthcare, technology, or other high-growth sectors (good to have)
• CFA, ACCA, CAIA, or MBA qualification. (good to have)
• Prior board observer or portfolio management experience. (good to have)
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Mandarin proficiency is advantageous as the role may involve interaction with Mandarin-speaking business owners, management teams, investors, and counterparties across China and Southeast Asia.
