Job summary

FP Global is seeking an Asset Manager to join its Asset Management team in Singapore. You will work directly with portfolio company management and senior stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, improve operational performance, strengthen governance, and support successful investment exits across Southeast Asia.

• 3–8+ years in consulting, Big 4 advisory, corporate development/M&A, or PE portfolio ops.

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading private investment firm to hire an Asset Manager to join its growing Asset Management team in Singapore.

As part of a lean and entrepreneurial team, you will work directly with portfolio company management teams and senior stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, improve operational performance, strengthen governance, and support successful investment exits across Southeast Asia.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work closely with senior leadership and portfolio company management teams to drive business performance and corporate value creation
• Develop and execute strategic business plans, growth initiatives, and operational improvement programmes
• Identify opportunities to enhance profitability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability

Governance & Business Transformation

• Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and management reporting processes
• Support board-level initiatives and corporate decision-making
• Review and improve operational and financial processes across portfolio companies

Investment Performance & Exit Planning

• Monitor business performance against strategic objectives
• Prepare presentations and reports for investment committees and key stakeholders
• Support exit planning and execution in collaboration with regional and headquarters teams

Regional Exposure

• Work with stakeholders across Southeast Asia and Japan
• Travel to portfolio companies and regional offices as required
• Leverage industry networks and market insights to identify new investment opportunities

Who We're Looking For

We are keen to speak with professionals who have 3–8+ years of relevant experience gained within:

• Management Consulting
• Big 4 Advisory / Deal Advisory
• Corporate Development / M&A
• Investment Banking
• Private Equity Portfolio Operations
• Business Transformation or PMI (Post-Merger Integration)

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to M&A, investment-related activities, or portfolio management
• Experience driving business improvement, operational transformation, or strategic initiatives
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and business operations
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, execution-focused environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently
• Passion for both investing and business operations
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and drive change

Language Requirements

• English: Business fluency required
• Japanese, Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, or other Southeast Asian languages are advantageous
