Job Description

The AVP of Talent and Organisational Development is a strategic HR function that aligns employee growth with business goals, focusing on developing skills, improving performance and enhancing overall organisational effectiveness through planned intervention, culture change and leadership building. This role will ensure the right people are in the right roles to achieve Company objectives. It is a holistic process to create a complete employee experience.
With a proven track record of success in managing and leading these functions, the ideal candidate should have a passion for creating a high-performing and inclusive workplace.

Talent Management:

Nurturing individual employee potential, skills and career growth through training, mentorship and specific development by building a strong talent pipeline, identifying high-potential employees and filling specific skills gaps.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent management and succession planning strategy
  • Lead talent assessment, high-potential (HiPo) identification, and internal leadership pipeline development
  • Design and oversee early career talent programmes (e.g. management trainee) to build a sustainable pipeline of future leaders
  • Implement structured rotations, performance assessment, and career pathways aligned with organisational requirements
    Implement executive and leadership development, including HiPo programmes and succession planning
  • Manage succession planning processes
  • Design and implement scalable talent review frameworks and processes
  • Develop competency frameworks and career pathways (ownership typically sits with TM)
  • Partner closely with HRBPs to ensure alignment with organisational values and business priorities
  • Design, implement and evaluate employee engagement strategies to enhance morale, commitment and retention
  • Lead organisation-wide engagement initiatives (surveys, focus groups, feedback channels)
Organisational Development:

Systematically improving the organisation structure, process and overall effectiveness by enhancing organisation performance, managing change and aligning people and systems with strategic goals.

  • Monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and development outcomes (learning execution aspect)
  • Drive blended learning approaches (instructor-led, digital, on-the-job, coaching)
  • Develop personalised learning journeys
  • Conduct development needs analysis (DNA) and curate learning solutions
  • Implement capability development programmes
  • Manage executive coaching and mentoring programmes (delivery and governance)
  • Enhance onboarding and orientation using GenAI and digital solutions
  • Conduct development needs analysis and offer appropriate learning and development opportunities
  • Partnering with HRBPs on targeted interventions for critical capability gap
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Development, and Leadership Development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering progressive learning and development programs that align with organizational objectives and address employee capability gaps.
  • Strong passion for fostering a positive, engaging, and high-performance work environment where employees can thrive and grow.
