Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd. seeks an Assistant / Technical Manager to oversee lighting, stage/fly systems and AV operations for theatre and live events. You will lead technical teams, ensure flawless show execution, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and compliance across productions.

Work closely with internal stakeholders and client production teams to deliver high-quality performances and events, coordinating with budgeting, scheduling and documentation processes to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in technical management for live performances (broadcast experience is a plus).
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting, sound, stage operations, rigging and AV systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical Team Management: oversee the technical team including full-time staff and freelancers with clear roles and responsibilities.
• Plan and manage staff scheduling and manpower allocation for shows/events.
• Oversee departmental budgets including equipment procurement, maintenance and resource planning.
• Collaboration & Event Execution: work with internal teams and external clients to understand and deliver technical requirements.
• Coordinate with the Business team to align technical execution with production needs.
• Supervise and ensure safe, smooth and efficient execution of all technical aspects during rehearsals and live events.
• Equipment Maintenance, Compliance & Documentation: maintain equipment and ensure safety audits and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee administrative processes and maintain accurate technical documentation.
