Job summary

China Harbour (Singapore) Engineering Company Pte Ltd is seeking a Site Manager to lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring progress against the program while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards. You will manage manpower, materials and equipment, and coordinate with subcontractors to drive timely completion.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or Diploma with extensive experience) and strong leadership, communication, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, building, construction management or related with 5+ years' relevant experience; diploma with 8+ years accepted.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute site works to meet milestones in the master program.
• Forecast and monitor site resources to keep works progressing without delay.
• Review drawings ahead of construction and resolve technical issues with the Technical Department.
• Chair site meetings and coordinate between project staff, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes and site documentation.
• Ensure works meet specifications, drawings and approved methods.
• Enforce safety and environmental compliance with the Safety Department.

Job description

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager runs day-to-day site operations — driving progress against program while maintaining standards in quality, safety and environmental control, and ensuring manpower, materials and equipment are in place when the works demand them.

Key responsibilities

Planning and delivery

• Plan and execute site works in line with the approved master program, ensuring resources are deployed to meet milestones.
• Forecast and monitor site resource requirements — manpower, materials, plant and machinery, and site facilities — to keep works progressing without delay.
• Review drawings ahead of construction and resolve technical issues with the Technical Department before they affect site progress.

Coordination

• Chair site meetings and coordinate between project staff, internal departments, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes and site documentation.

Quality, safety and environment

• Ensure all works are carried out to specifications, approved drawings and approved method statements.
• Enforce safety and environmental compliance on site, and review safety documentation jointly with the Safety Department.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Diploma in a related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a site supervisory or management capacity.
• Working knowledge of relevant BCA and MOM regulatory requirements, including WSH standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors concurrently.
