Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction/Site Manager to oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget and quality targets in Singapore. You will coordinate with engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, review drawings, manage variations and maintain rigorous QA/EHS standards.

You will lead a team, monitor procurement, cost reporting and final accounts while driving improvements in site processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Building or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar construction/site management capacity.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore government authority approval processes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Control Act, statutory codes and regulations.
  • Good all-round technical knowledge of C&S, M&E and Architectural works.
  • Familiarity with project management applications and tools.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving and subcontractor management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site construction activities, ensuring works are completed according to schedule, budget, approved drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/EHS requirements, Project Quality Plans and statutory regulations, maintaining high safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules, review tender documents and ensure client contractual requirements are incorporated into subcontract agreements.
  • Manage project costs, progress payments, cost reporting and timely closure of vendor final accounts.
  • Lead and supervise Site Engineers, M&E Engineers and Site Supervisors, including manpower allocation, training and development.
  • Conduct site progress meetings and coordinate with subcontractors to resolve construction and site issues.
  • Review drawings, identify discrepancies and make decisions on construction, variations and site-related matters.
  • Evaluate subcontractor tenders, recommend awards and negotiate/approve Variation Orders.
  • Maintain proper site documentation and ensure timely project records and submissions.
  • Support construction planning, including preparation of construction schedules, sequences and method statements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in construction processes, productivity and site management practices.
