Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an Assistant Operations Executive (Port Operations) in Singapore to support vessel operations planning, resource allocation, and quay activities. The role requires a diploma, Singaporean or PR status, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.

Strong coordination and planning skills, plus experience in logistics or maritime operations, are advantageous. The position offers AWS, variable bonus, performance incentives, and shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

Salary: Up to $3,500/month + AWS + Variable Bonus + Performance Incentives + Shift Allowances

Job Responsibilities

Vessel Operations & Resource Planning

• Learn and apply vessel operations planning and resource allocation principles.

• Coordinate manpower and equipment deployment to support efficient vessel turnaround.

• Assist in planning operational activities to ensure productivity and service excellence.

Quayside Operations Supervision

• Monitor container loading and unloading activities at the quay.

• Ensure safe, smooth, and efficient port operations in accordance with operational procedures.

• Coordinate with operational teams to address on-site issues and maintain workflow continuity.

Container Yard Management

• Coordinate container movements and yard activities using Terminal Operations Systems (TOS).

• Monitor yard utilization and support operational planning to optimize container flow.

• Ensure accurate system updates and operational tracking of containers and equipment.

Operations Coordination

• Work closely with relevant operational teams to ensure vessels are serviced according to schedule.

• Monitor operational progress and respond promptly to changing priorities and operational requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Requirements

• Diploma qualification from a recognized local institution.

• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.

• Open to candidates with backgrounds in logistics, operations, engineering, uniformed services, shift-based environments, or those seeking a career transition into port operations.

• Possess strong coordination, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment and managing multiple priorities.

• Able to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including day and night shifts.

• Proficient in using technology and operational systems to support planning and execution.

• Candidates with logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or maritime-related experience will have an advantage.

12-hour rotating shifts

• Day Shift: 7.30am – 7.30pm

• Night Shift: 7.30pm – 7.30am

Shift Cycle

• Day 1: Day Shift

• Day 2: Day or Night Shift

• Day 3: Night Shift

• Day 4 & 5: Off Days

• Cycle repeats thereafter
