Job summary

Cornerstone Global Partners is recruiting on behalf of a leading port operator in Singapore for an Assistant Operations Executive to join its 24/7 container terminal operations. This permanent role includes full training and offers a long-term career path in port and logistics operations.

Locations include Pasir Panjang or Tuas, with 12-hour rotating shifts and a 3-on/2-off cycle. No prior experience is required; a Diploma is required and teamwork with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a Polytechnic, ITE, NAFA or LASALLE (any discipline), or GCE A Level.
• No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
• Comfortable with rotating day/night shifts.
• Excellent teamwork and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Undergo structured training in vessel stowage or yard planning using an advanced Terminal Operations System.
• Plan and support the smooth running of container terminal operations.
• Collaborate with a team of specialists to ensure plans are carried out by the vessel operations team.
• Build analytical and coordination skills on the job.
• Gain exposure to vessel operations and resource planning, including supervising quayside activities.

About the role

Our client, a leading port operator in Singapore, is looking for Assistant Operations Executives to join its 24/7 container terminal operations. This is a permanent role with full training, so it suits anyone looking to build a long term career in port and logistics operations.

Work locations (choose one)

• Pasir Panjang (near Pasir Panjang MRT)
• Tuas (near Tuas MRT, with islandwide transport provided)

What you will do

• Undergo structured training in vessel stowage or yard planning using an advanced Terminal Operations System
• Plan and support the smooth running of container terminal operations
• Work with a team of specialists to ensure plans are carried out effectively by the vessel operations team
• Build your analytical and coordination skills on the job
• Gain exposure to vessel operations and resource planning, including supervising quayside activities and coordinating container yard activities

Working hours

• 12 hour rotating shifts: 7.30am to 7.30pm, or 7.30pm to 7.30am
• 3 days on, 2 days off, in a repeating cycle
• Must be able to work night shifts

Salary and benefits

• Basic salary up to $3,000
• Monthly shift allowance of about $200
• Full training provided
• Islandwide transport for the Tuas location
