The Assistant Marketing Communications Manager develops and leads communications strategies for assigned revenue streams and lifestyle-led portfolios across Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford. This role has a strong focus on campaign management, public relations, media relations, content development, influencer engagement, media planning, partnerships, F&B storytelling, spa and lifestyle campaigns, while supporting broader hotel, brand and corporate initiatives. The role supports the Director of Marketing Communications in managing campaign execution, agency coordination, media hosting and team workflow. This is a leadership position as second in-charge to lead and manage the team.

COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA PLANNING
  • Formulate communications and media calendars for assigned portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate execution of initiatives with relevant business units and stakeholders.
  • Develop Public Relations angles, media materials, influencer briefs and content narratives that generate positive and relevant coverage across local, regional and international channels.
  • Develop media plan for campaigns and dedicated business units for brand positioning and/or to meet campaign objectives
  • Review communications materials including press releases, media pitches, social copy, sales decks, in-house collaterals, ad copy and campaign assets to ensure accuracy, tonality and brand alignment.
  • Lead assigned awards submissions, canvassing of votes or nominations, and post-award amplification with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with lifestyle, luxury, F&B, wellness, cultural and corporate brands to create differentiated guest experiences.
LIFESTYLE, PUBLIC RELATIONS & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
  • Lead or support lifestyle and Public Relations -driven portfolios such as selected F&B venues, spa, wellness, partnerships, IP-led collaborations, festive campaigns and hotel stories.
  • Manage media, blogger, content creator and influencer hosting to drive positive coverage and beneficial commercial outcomes.
  • Coordinate media familiarisation stays, F&B tastings, chef interviews, partner activations and hosted experiences in line with approved strategy and budgets.
  • Support restaurant and bar positioning by developing story angles around culinary concepts, chefs, menus, events, awards and collaborations.
  • Maintain active awareness of hospitality, lifestyle, dining, wellness and media trends to identify relevant opportunities.
CAMPAIGN & EVENT MANAGEMENT
  • Conceptualise, plan and execute integrated communications campaigns with the Director, internal team, Public relations agencies, digital partners and business unit stakeholders.
  • Support marketing and promotion of hotel-led events, ensuring strong attendance, media relevance, guest experience and post-event reporting.
  • Prepare campaign briefs, timelines, content requirements, photography or videography briefs, creative references and partner deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-channel launches across website, social media, email, in-house displays, press outreach, partner platforms and advertising placements.
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare updates with recommendations for optimisation.
  • Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences, competitor activity, hospitality trends and relevant lifestyle or dining developments.
  • Analyse public relations , campaign, media monitoring, social and stakeholder feedback to develop informed recommendations that support business goals.
  • Review competitive communications to identify opportunities for differentiation and stronger positioning.
PARTNER, AGENCY & VENDOR ENGAGEMENT
  • Manage day-to-day agency, partner and vendor coordination for assigned projects, ensuring clear scopes, timelines, deliverables and approvals.
  • Host partners and industry contacts for ongoing engagement and potential collaborations.
  • Support negotiation of value-added partner arrangements that enhance brand relevance, reduce costs or improve guest experiences.
BUDGETING & ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage campaign and assigned business unit budgets and forecast.
  • Monitor campaign-level budgets, quotations and supplier costs for assigned projects, ensuring forecast accuracy and procurement compliance.
  • Support annual budget planning by gathering scopes, historical costs and proposed activity requirements.
  • Work with the Coordinator to ensure agreements, purchase requests, invoices and accruals are submitted accurately and on time.
OTHERS
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assist with Sales & Marketing projects and carry out other duties as assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 6 years of marketing communications or public relations experience, preferably within hospitality, travel, lifestyle, luxury, F&B or agency environments.
  • Leadership – experience in leading and managing teams
  • Excellent spoken and written English. Fluency in a second language is preferred.
  • AI-enabled marketer, proficient in Claude, ChatGPT, relevant tools for content creation, presentations, project management
  • Strong knowledge of marketing communications (Branding, Public Relations , Events, Advertising), hospitality trends, media//KOL connections locally/regionally
  • Excellent writing, editing, media pitching and content planning skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to work across multiple business units and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to brief agencies, designers, photographers and vendors with clear objectives and timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort using media monitoring, influencer analysis and campaign performance data.
  • Creative, proactive and commercially minded, with a passion for hospitality and guest experiences.
  • Collaborative, adaptable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
