Job summary

Pasona Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a dedicated WSH Officer to lead safety management on subcontractor construction sites. You will ensure compliance with the WSH Act and related regulations, implement safety policies, and coordinate with authorities to drive continuous safety improvements.

You will manage the Safety team and subcontractors, conduct daily inspections, develop emergency procedures, and maintain WSH documentation in line with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Workplace, Safety & Health and 3-5 years of related experience in subcontractor construction site.
• Registered WSH Officer with MOM is a must.
• Possess Work-At-Height and Risk Management certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act.
• Plan, administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
• Assist in the development and maintain ISO standards for the Company.
• Develop emergency procedures under Company’s Business Continuity Plan (eg. SG Secure).
• Manage and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s safety systems.
• Ensure project site safety compliance and continuous improvement by implementing and coordinating safety awareness training/programmers/initiatives.
• Lead and assist in investigating any near miss, incident or accident and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Assist in identifying and assessing foreseeable risks in project works and recommend reasonably practicable measures.
• Assist/ conduct Safety Audits in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor safety statistics of all projects, analyze trends and take appropriate actions where necessary.
• Compile all relevant reports and records and maintain relevant WSH documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Liaise with the government authorities (MOM, NEA, PUB, etc.)
• Attend WHS meetings, audits, inspections and close issues pertaining to safety matters.
• Perform as secretary for Safety Committee, schedule and conduct monthly safety committee meeting and record meeting minutes.
• Monitor and organize all safety initiative safety promotions and involve in all safety improvement projects.
• Identify training needs collectively and arrange for appropriate mandatory trainings.

Job Requirements:

• Report the outcomes of the safety inspections including actions to be taken.
• Assist in identifying and assessing foreseeable risks in project works and recommend reasonably practicable measures.
• Develop and ensure risk assessments are implemented for their activities.
• Assist/ conduct Safety Audits in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor safety statistics of all projects, analyze trends and take appropriate actions where necessary.
• Compile all relevant reports and records and maintain relevant WSH documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Enforce all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.
• Advice on proactive measures to be taken in the interest of workplace safety and health
• Conduct daily inspection of project work and activities.
• Liaise with the government authorities (MOM, NEA, PUB, etc.)
• Carry out safety orientations and conduct daily tool box meeting where necessary.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Manager.
• Liaise closely with Site Operations Staff, Site Manager, Project Managers, Clients, and Consultants etc. on all safety and health issues. Attend WHS meetings, audits, inspections and close issues pertaining to safety matters etc.
• Perform as secretary for Safety Committee, schedule and conduct monthly safety committee meeting and record meeting minutes.
• Monitor and organize all safety initiative safety promotions and involve in all safety improvement projects.
