Job summary

Nakano Singapore (Pte) Ltd is seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to support the M&E Manager in coordinating and supervising the on-site M&E team for planning and execution of M&E works. You will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on shop drawings, method statements, RFIs and technical submissions, ensuring all parties are updated on the latest changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise on-site M&E team to ensure work adheres to drawings, specifications and authorities' requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on shop drawings, samples, method statements, technical submissions and RFIs, keeping all parties updated on changes.
• Attend project/technical/safety coordination meetings and resolve site and technical issues with owners/consultants for smooth progress.
• To supervise on-site M&E engineers and supervisors to verify work complies with approved drawings and rectify non-conformance by subcontractors.
• Conduct minimally weekly M&E meetings with subcontractors to ensure proper work sequence and avoid clashes of site activities.
• Monitor site progress and workmanship quality through inspections and QA/QC checks, escalating unresolved issues to the M&E Manager/Project Manager.
• Assist the Project Manager in planning M&E schedules and manpower to meet milestones and avoid clashes with other trades.
• Review subcontractor submissions, including progress claims, variation orders, measurement sheets and material approvals, and report key issues to the M&E Manager.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors for equipment and testing & commissioning so that site is ready for authorities' inspection.
• Ensure site safety and WSH compliance by enforcing risk assessments, safe work procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Prepare M&E progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards including ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• Compile accurate project documentation for completion and DLP, including QA/QC records, authority submissions, as-built drawings and ISO documents.
• Develop Value Engineering cost-down proposals and support proposed M&E work schedules and lead times.

• Check and ensure compliance with the requirements of all required quality standards including but not limited to ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Green Mark and Buildability Score.
• To ensure that accurate project documentation, including QA/QC records, authority submissions, as-built drawings, and ISO-required documents are compiled accurately and completely for completion and DLP.
• Develop Value Engineering Cost Down proposals, including cost-effective solutions for M&E, and support proposed M&E work schedules and lead times."
