Job summary

WilliamSELECT seeks an experienced Assistant Store Operations Manager to oversee daily store operations and lead the operations team in delivering operational excellence and a premier customer experience.

You will manage inventory, policy implementation, coaching, and logistics across the store. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a customer-centric mindset within luxury retail.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant operational management experience in luxury retail.
• Strong leadership, people management, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Well-organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Customer-focused with a strong understanding of luxury retail operations and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations including policy and procedure implementation, inventory management and staff scheduling.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement controls to minimize stock loss and damage.
• Ensure processes, product handling and merchandise flow comply with standards and guidelines.
• Analyze store performance, sales trends and forecasts; provide actionable insights and reports.
• Manage stock deliveries, merchandise transfers, client repair orders and logistics with warehouses, boutiques and repair centres.
• Maintain understanding of after-sales service, repair processes and stock repair policies for smooth execution.
• Oversee defective merchandise handling and manage local damage costs.
• Provide administrative support and handle store-related enquiries and operational issues.
• Partner with regional and global Store Operations teams to identify priorities and support business initiatives.
• Conduct and support operational training for frontline employees to ensure adherence to standards.
