Job summary

Well-Established Singapore Façade & Curtain Wall Engineering MNC is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to lead IT and digital transformation initiatives in Singapore. You will coordinate with internal IT, software development, infrastructure, data and cybersecurity teams to deliver value.

This permanent role offers a 5.5-day work week with alternate Saturdays, starting hours 8:00am/8:30am/9:00am. The position is based in Boon Lay with salary up to SGD 7,000 plus a variable performance bonus and

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or related discipline required.
• At least 3 years in software development, system integration or digital transformation.
• Experience with ERP, MES, WMS, IoT or similar enterprise systems advantageous.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases and IT infrastructure.
• Experience leading IT or digital transformation projects preferred.
• Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory familiarity will help.

Main Responsibilities

IT & Digital Transformation

• Support and lead IT and digital transformation initiatives in alignment with business and operational objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with internal IT, software development, infrastructure, data and cybersecurity teams.
• Manage project priorities, resources, timelines and deliverables to ensure effective and timely implementation.
• Promote collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across IT and business functions.

Systems Development & Integration

• Manage the implementation, integration, enhancement and continuous improvement of business and operational systems.
• Support the integration of enterprise applications and operational/manufacturing systems, including ERP, MES, WMS, planning systems, IoT platforms and digital dashboards.
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure and aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Work closely with business users, developers, system architects and external technology partners to deliver effective system solutions.

Digital Transformation & Smart Technology

• Drive digitalisation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, visibility, and decision-making.
• Support smart manufacturing and connected operations through the integration of machines, systems, applications and data platforms.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency through technology.
• Support the adoption of emerging technologies, including IoT, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, digital dashboards, and digital twin solutions, where applicable.

Data, Analytics & Digital Platforms

• Manage the development and implementation of digital dashboards, reporting platforms and data solutions to support operational and management reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, accessibility, security and effective utilisation for business decision-making.
• Work with data teams and business users to establish data flows, reporting requirements and relevant performance indicators.
• Support data-driven process improvement and operational optimisation initiatives.

IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Risk Management

• Coordinate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to maintain a secure, reliable and resilient IT environment.
• Support the implementation of cybersecurity controls, user access management, data protection measures and IT security standards.
• Identify technology-related risks and support appropriate risk mitigation, disaster recovery and business continuity measures.
• Ensure IT systems and technology solutions comply with internal policies, applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

API & System Integration

• Coordinate the development and implementation of APIs, system interfaces and integration solutions connecting internal applications, operational systems, machines and third-party platforms.
• Work with system architects, developers and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable system connectivity.
• Ensure integration solutions are scalable, maintainable and able to support future business requirements.

IT Project & Vendor Management

• Manage technology projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, testing, implementation, deployment and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate with business departments, management, consultants, technology vendors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, resources, risks and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Evaluate technology solutions and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor the performance, reliability and effectiveness of IT systems and digital solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, operational efficiency, productivity and user experience.
• Establish and monitor relevant KPIs and performance indicators for IT and digital transformation initiatives.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments to identify suitable opportunities for digitalisation and continuous business improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in software development, system integration, digital transformation or Smart Factory environments.
• Experience with ERP, MES, WMS, IoT, automation or other enterprise/digital systems will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of system integration, databases, APIs and IT infrastructure.
• Experience managing IT, software development or digital transformation projects, including coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
• Prior experience in project or team coordination/management will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, automation and connected manufacturing/operations will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and project management skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external technology partners.
• Strong interest in digital transformation, Industry 4.0, automation, AI and emerging technologies.
