Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare/review journals, reconciliations, P&L, and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Organize year-end procedures (stock take, fixed asset checks).
Accounts Receivable
  • Supervise billing, collections, refunds, and fee-related communication.
  • Track payments (including GIRO) and monitor outstanding invoices.
  • Communicate with parents to resolve fee issues and minimize bad debts.
  • Lead AR team, provide backup support, and enforce collection policies.
Audit & Compliance
  • Coordinate external audits, prepare schedules, and finalize financial statements.
  • Resolve audit issues and improve internal controls.
  • Handle statutory reporting (Singapore/Germany) and tax filings (GST, withholding tax).
Management Reporting & Projects
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and board.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of programs/events.
  • Design templates/forms to support digitalization and efficiency.
  • Participate in IT system improvements, data migration, and policy drafting.
Fixed Assets & Fund Management
  • Track fixed asset transactions, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee fund-related financial operations, reporting, and audits.
Events & Cash Management
  • Supervise fundraising and school event finances.
  • Manage cash collections, petty cash, and ensure compliance with charity regulations.
Leadership & Admin
  • Act as accounting system administrator (GL accounts, cost centres).
  • Lead and support team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Drive process improvements and pipeline projects.
Requirements
