Job summary

The Public Service Division invites applications for an AEM role at Tuas Marine Transfer Station and Semakau Landfill. You will assist the engineer in overseeing safe waste receiving operations and coordinate safety matters with TMTS and SL stakeholders.

You will supervise contractors on site, review traffic management plans, prepare quotations for infrastructure maintenance, and ensure spare parts supply for landfill equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in any discipline; engineering background preferred.
• Fresh diploma graduates welcome; candidates with 3+ years in construction, waste management, facility management, or related industry preferred.
• Procurement and contract management experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work in harsh environments.
• Shift work including mornings/afternoons and weekends.
• Willing to be deployed at both TMTS and SL.
• May undergo medical declaration or further assessment during shortlisting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineer in overseeing and ensuring safe waste receiving operations at TMTS and SL slipways.
• Coordinate operational and safety matters with TMTS/SL stakeholders to ensure activities are conducted according to plan.
• Supervise contractors on site, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to operations.
• Assist engineer in reviewing traffic management plans within TMTS/SL.
• Prepare quotations for infrastructure maintenance and review spare parts supply for landfill equipment.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
