Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is hiring for a waste operations role in Tuas. The position involves supervising waste segregation, weighbridge operations and process monitoring with training provided for those with lesser experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Chemistry.
• No experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support incoming waste segregation, including bulk and loose waste, and weighbridge operations.
• Monitor and improve department performance; review workflows and procedures; implement improvements.
• Oversee waste unloading, segregation and distribution to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct daily/regular inspections of plant processes; monitor 5S, TPM, safety and equipment conditions.
• Verify incoming waste streams are suitable for treatment and that safe work procedures are followed by staff.
• Coordinate communication between departments on discrepancies and update SOPs as needed.
• Develop new treatment methods and assess operation costs; report updates to management.
• Ensure EHS practices are implemented within the department.
• Coordinate with resale for arranging recovered products to minimize storage.
• Prepare and analyze daily/monthly operation records; follow up on corrective actions with staff.
• Provide safety briefings and training on handling flammable solvents, MSDS, PPE and risk assessment.
• Activate emergency response team and liaise with EHS on spills and fires; conduct drills.
