Assistant Electrical Engineer

Basic Salary: $2,400 to $3,000

Entitled to Yearly Bonus & Performance Bonus

Working Location: Joo Koon, Singapore [West]

Transport Pickup Points at Paya Lebar, Serangoon, Bishan, Jurong East, Joo Koon & Woodlands

Requirements

1. Diploma of Electrical Engineering or Electronic.
2. Minimum one (1) year’s experience in electrical engineering environment.
3. Interest to work long term and build career in Power Engineering Industry [High Voltage]

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Attend site survey/meetings/discussions with client/contractors/sub-contractors on related matters together with the LEW (when required). Provide feasible solutions and coordinate with owners/users, consultants, vendors/contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure objectives are achieved.
2. Prepare reports and method statements whenever necessary. Perform all electrical works in adherence to EMA regulations and guidelines with the LEW supervision.
3. Assist the PE/LEW in carrying out regular site inspections on LT and HT installations to ensure maintenance programmes are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines.
4. Standby and partner with LEW to attend emergency call‑up services at customer installations. Investigate and determine the root cause of faults and report where applicable.
5. Interpret basic schematics and SLD diagrams. Take on a Specialist Equipment role, receive specialised training and provide training to internal staff.
6. Plan and execute corrective or preventive maintenance programmes. Participate in and support Annual Shutdown exercises as required. Ensure proper housekeeping of spare parts, equipment and tools.
7. Assist the LEW in test and commissioning of electrical systems. Provide excellent service to meet client expectations. Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
