Job description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing EHS Team to support business operations over multiple sites
- Review policies and practices to ensure relevance and being up to date in line with regulatory changes
- Advise and drive project management on compliance with all EH&S related legislations & best practices
- Undertakes analysis of the EHS performances and allocating resources to improve performanceManaging department resources including manpower, internal assets and external vendors
- Provides technical advice & support to other department on EHS related matters
- Organize and act as Secretary in the daily VSCC meeting
- Inspect, endorse and coordinate yard/vessel permit-to-work system
- Organize and conduct project EH&S inspection daily and record findings
- Investigate accident/incident and near misses
- Coordinate and lead the emergency team in the event of emergency
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma/NTC in EHS/Engrg with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Possess Hotwork Assessor Certification
- Confined Space Assessor Registration is an added advantage
- Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act & Ship building & Ship repairing regulation
- Good understanding of MOM safety management system
- Good report writing & incident investigation & analytical skills
- Possess competency in Marine Emergency Response - Vessel Firefighting, Rescue & Oil Pollution Operations
- Possess competency in the EHS & Fire Safety related Acts & Regulations
- Possess competency in OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001, SMS, ISRS, CONSAS audit system and certification
- Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skills to build partnerships with various stakeholders in the organisation
