As Assistant Director of Banquet Operations, you will oversee the smooth execution of all banquet events, ensuring every function is set up on time and flawlessly organized. You will manage events effectively and play a key part in achieving revenue targets. You will champion exceptional guest experiences across the banquet operation and uphold exemplary service standards among the team.
Manage all administrative and operational aspects of banquet, ensuring smooth day-to-day banquet operations
Conduct regular walk-throughs of front and back-of-house areas to check set-up, service, food quality, maintenance and cleanliness
Ensures that quality of food / beverage / service provided are consistently maintained
Drive guest satisfaction and build lasting relationships with guests
Foster clear, effective communication between F&B, Culinary and Catering Sales department
Plan manpower and rosters to match the demands of each event
Manage relationships with external manpower vendors to ensure staffing needs are met and events run smoothly
Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns swiftly and turn feedback into ongoing service improvements
Coach and mentor the team, nurturing talent through performance management and succession planning
Work hand in hand with other departments to ensure every event runs seamlessly and contribute to the hotel's overall success
Build a safe, collaborative and service-oriented team culture that supports the hotel's business objectives
Diploma in Food and Beverage or Hospitality Management
Minimum 6 years' experience in a similar capacity within a luxury lifestyle hotel
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a service team
Demonstrated initiative, commitment to professional values and a proven ability to lead a team
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of guests
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
