Job summary

THE INCEPTION RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager in Singapore to lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and oversee end-to-end commercial, tendering, and contract administration. You will safeguard contractual rights and mitigate risks across projects.

You will mentor staff, optimize workflows, manage payments, VO/EOT, and lead tender submissions for upcoming projects within a 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Significant experience in local construction contracts and tender management.
• Natural leadership ability with a desire to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple high-priority deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of QS and provide daily guidance.
• Review commercial workflows and improve efficiency.
• Oversee main contract and sub-contract administration from start to close.
• Interpret contract clauses to advise on cost and risks.
• Manage sub-contract payments, VO's, EOT claims.
• Oversee the tendering process for upcoming projects.

Job Summary

Assist the Contracts Manager in leading a team of Quantity Surveyors (QS) and managing the end-to-end commercial, tendering, and contract administration processes to safeguard the company's contractual rights and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of QS, providing daily guidance and technical support to ensure high-quality output.


• Workflow Optimization: Review existing commercial workflows and implement best practices to improve efficiency.


• Contract Administration & Commercial Management: Contract Oversight: Oversee main contract and sub-contract administration from project commencement to final account closure.


• Advisory Support: Interpret contract clauses to advise project stakeholders on cost, contractual issues, and risk mitigation.


• Financial Claims: Manage sub-contract payments, Variation Orders (VOs), Extension of Time (EOT) claims, etc.


• Tender Management: Tender Leadership: Oversee the entire tendering process to ensure competitive, accurate, and timely submissions for upcoming projects.
