Job summary

QT Singapore is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the hotel's building, engineering systems, and facilities. This role supports the Chief Engineer in preventive and corrective maintenance, safety, and contractor management while minimising disruption to operations and guest experience.

You will provide technical guidance to the Engineering team, collaborate with hotel departments, and help deliver energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in hotel maintenance operations and contractor management is preferred.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily Engineering Department operations.
• Supervise and guide the Engineering team to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Inspect facilities and systems and recommend improvements.
• Respond to engineering issues and emergencies to protect guest experience.
• Support energy management and sustainability initiatives.
