Job summary

QT Singapore, a premier hospitality brand, is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the hotel’s engineering operations, systems, and safety. You will support the Chief Engineer and lead the engineering team to ensure reliable facilities and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include managing maintenance programmes, supervising staff, coordinating contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while helping implement energy and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in hospitality engineering, including supervisory experience.
• Experience with budgeting, energy management, and CAPEX projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in day-to-day Engineering operations to maintain facilities and systems to standards.
• Supervise the Engineering team to ensure productivity and service delivery.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Inspect facilities and systems, identify needs and suggest improvements.
• Respond promptly to issues, guest requests and emergencies to maintain satisfaction.
• Assist in developing engineering policies, procedures and standards.
