Job summary

Kingfisher Recruitment Singapore Pte Ltd partners with an established international hotel in Singapore to recruit an Assistant Chief Engineer. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily maintenance and supports sustainability, energy management and capital projects.

You will manage the engineering team, coordinate with the Director of Engineering, and ensure safety, reliability and 24‑hour operations. Diploma/degree holders with 5–7 years in hotel engineering and 2+ years of supervision are

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
Approximately 5–7 years of experience in hotel engineering, building operations or facilities management.
At least 2 years of supervisory or team‑leadership experience.
Sound knowledge of M&E systems, BMS, ACMV, preventive maintenance and energy management.
Exposure to BCA Green Mark or environmental reporting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the daily activities of the maintenance and preventive maintenance teams.
Maintain reliability of guest-room systems, public areas and building infrastructure.
Develop and track preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure efficient operation.
Coordinate with contractors and regulatory authorities on safety and compliance.
