Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking an AVP, Client Solutions in Asia to lead deal teams, grow client relationships and design innovative reinsurance solutions across Japan, Hong Kong, and broader Asia. The role reports to the VP, Client Solutions and works with a Manager to deliver objectives and staff development.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep knowledge of life reinsurance, ALM and capital frameworks, with an ability to govern complex client engagements across markets

Qualifications

• Strong technical experience in life (re)insurance, life consultancy, investment banking or brokerage linked to the Asia market.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in asset-intensive business and structuring frameworks is desirable.
• Experience in Longevity (re)insurance is desirable.
• Strong understanding of life insurance/reinsurance, ALM, capital frameworks and pricing/capital bases.
• Exceptional leadership and influencing skills across levels.
• Highly analytical, negotiator with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead client management relationships with key day-to-day and senior contacts across clients, consultants, brokers, law firms and banks.
• Own quote delivery, set strategy, manage terms and governance with stakeholders.
• Help design and execute Asia-focused strategy for asset-intensive and longevity reinsurance.
• Manage and develop the Client Solutions team, ensuring staff engagement and growth.
• Collaborate across functions (actuarial, finance, legal, tax) to support deal pricing and structuring.
