Job summary

CATA COFFEE PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an Assistant Baker to join our team in Singapore. The role focuses on producing from-scratch lamination for viennoiseries and a wide range of cakes, cookies, and tarts in a high-volume bakery environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of lamination experience, strong knowledge of dough fermentation and baking techniques, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset to deliver best-in-class products for our cafe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year lamination experience in a high-volume bakery.
• Solid knowledge of dough fermentation and baking techniques.
• Shows a collaborative attitude and empathy in interactions.
• Passion for delivering high-quality bakery products.

Responsibilities

• Viennoiseries production - from-scratch lamination of pastry products in a production bakery.
• Producing a wide range of cakes, cookies and tarts.
• Utilise production schedules diligently to ensure daily orders are completed in full.
• Ensure consistent quality by following operating procedures and product specifications.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with Bakery Assistants to foster team development.
• Help to minimise wastage by following effective stock management principles.
• Maintain highest standards of both cleanliness and record keeping to ensure the bakery is fully compliant with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the management team to develop and launch seasonal products.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to management to safeguard the working environment.
